Manufactured 1899. It features a beautiful walnut stock with a finish that's velvet smooth to the touch. The steel loading gate provided for smoother loading. The rear tang is drilled and tapped for an optional tang-mounted rear sight for a more precise sight picture. This Short Rifle model features a straight stock, round barrel and bead front sight with semi-buckhorn rear. Sights: Bead Front / Semi-Buckhorn Rear Brushed polish receiver finish Crescent metal recoil pad Steel trigger Shootable and fully functional. Bore riflings very good with some grainyness in the grooves. Metal has spots of controlled oxidation and darkening. Wooden stock is very good with handling blemishes. No cracks.
