Description:
Up for sale is this extremely rare Sig P210-8. I had acquired it new from a well know firearms collector by the name of Harrison Carroll back in 2003. I wanted what many people have called the most accurate handgun ever made and with much luck came across this one. When I received it I was very anxious to shoot it which I did, sparingly. My intentions at the time was to enjoy the craftsmanship of this firearm rather than use it as a collectable. Over the course of the first few years of having it I fired approximately 200 rounds through it. Then a man brought to my attention that this gun had an interesting serial number, P321001. I then looked into the history of it and found out it was one of the first p210-8's ever produced. I decided to never shoot it again. I stored it away and got busy with life almost forgetting that I owned it. In 2017 I decided to do some more research into this firearm by contacting Swiss Arms directly. I asked if someone can give me some history of my specific gun and a man there offered to talk to Leon Crottet who had made the gun and gave me some information on it. This gun (serial # p321001) was the second -8 ever made and part of a prototype series that Leon made that consisted of the first 5 that were produced. This is #2. That makes this particular gun even more rare than most of the other -8's that were produced. I included this email in one of the pics. I've been told by many that this gun should be in a museum and after owning it for over 20 years I think I have to give someone else the opportunity to own it. As the pictures show, it is still in amazing condition and has been meticulously cared for.
I tried doing research on it's value but only found 2 other p210-8's that were listed and sold and they were at $30,000. These didn't have a rare serial number like mine has though so I'm not sure what the true value of this gun is. I guess it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
