"Composite Brown Bess Short Land Musket. Interesting gun that appears to be made from a variety of Brown Bess parts. The lock is an early style with a banana style lock. The barrel has light pitting throughout the metal, and has a dark almost black patina. The top of the barrel is marked “Dorset Prima Legio". The stock has been refinished and has a short land pattern furniture. The escutcheon plate is marked “B/25?" Barrel is approximately an .85 caliber and is 42" long. Very interesting variation to a short land pattern Brown Bess Style Musket!
