Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
The Sapphire Ultra II is one of Kimber’s more ostentatious pistols. It is built like a concealed carry pistol but has a special bright blue PVD finish on the slide, grip safety, hammer, safety, and other parts. These parts all sport a highly polished surface. On top of this, the slide features cut through scroll engraving with border. The Sapphire Ultra II has a 3-inch barrel and an alloy frame, both of which keep the weight of the pistol to a minimum. By using a shorter barrel and reducing the weight to well below that of a standard 1911 Government Model, Kimber has produced a pistol which lends itself to easier concealed carry but one which also has a certain amount of style to it. The gun weighs in at a mere 1.56 lbs. thanks to its aluminum frame. The Sapphire Ultra II uses a full-length guide rod with a 16 lb. recoil spring which significantly reduces felt recoil. Sighting is done via tactical wedge 3-dot night sights. Sight radius is a respectable 4.8 inches. The pistol is fitted with a nice set of blue/black ball-milled G-10 thin-wall grips. As with most Kimber 1911s, the trigger is factory-set between four and five pounds in pull weight. The overall length of the pistol is 6.8 inches, with the frame being a slim 1.15 inches in width. The magazine holds 8 rounds of the popular 9mm Parabellum aka 9mm Luger. The advantage of a 9mm 1911 over one in .45 is a slightly higher capacity. The 9mm round is also common and easy to find on the shelves, and less expensive to shoot. This Sapphire Ultra II is brand new-in-the-box the and comes with one 8-round magazine.
