#582, A 1924 Buch Drilling (Doppelbuchsdrilling) 9.3 x 74R X 9.3 x 74R X 12 Bore, A Side by Side 9.3 x 74R Double over a 12 Bore Shotgun Barrel, A large action body with a Kersten double crossbolt top lock, Bolstered frame, Scalloped action back, Cocking indicators for all 3 barrels, Double triggers with both being a set trigger, 27" barrels with all 3 being Krupp Steel, The shot barrel at .721" .040" (Full), Original 2 3/4" chambers and clearly proofed at 70mm, Full length solid rib with 1 standing fixed open sight, Claw Mounts installed by our Gunmaker J. J. Perodeau, Mounted with a Leupold 4.5 x 14 scope with their Boone & Crockett reticle, A left side safety with a top tang sliding selector for selecting the rifle barrels or the shot barrels, Very solid buttstock and forend wood, Sling swivels, Shadowline cheekpiece, Steel trigger guard, Bakelite type grip cap, 14" LOP over the original horn buttplate, 9 lbs. 10 oz. without the scope and 10 lbs. 10 oz. with the scope and claw mounts, Border engraving only, The barrels might have been reblacked but I guarantee they were never polished, All of the legends on the barrel remain as sharp as day one, Original case colors remain at 30% with the face of the breech still having 90% case colors, The wood is as solid as 1924 and remains at 85% finish with handling marks only, The checkering remains at 96-97%. The great news is the bore condition, the rifle bores are excellent plus and look like they did in 1924. The shotgun bore also remains excellent plus. It remains tight as new and is smack on the face. Here is a classic Double Rifle from the Golden Era between the wars with a 12-bore barrel hanging on with original 2 3/4" chambers and so marked. This is not only a fun gun but a practical treasure that will go another 100 years.
