RARE ORIGINAL COLT WELLS FARGO MODEL 1849 PERCUSSION POCKET REVOLVER. Five shot .31 caliber with 3” octagon barrel and made without provision for a loading lever. Early style tiny “COLTS/PATENT” stamp on frame. Correct two line “ADDRESS SAML. COLT/NEW YORK CITY” barrel address. All matching including the wedge, and complete and original to the last screw. 89,xxx serial range with 1854 year of manufacture. Fine overall with original dark patina on barrel and cylinder and greying case hardening on frame. Brass back strap and trigger guard with modest amounts of original silver remaining. Excellent 95% “STAGECOACH HOLDUP” cylinder scene. Grip with the original finish. Perfect working order and very good bore with well defined rifling. Very hard to find and in nice condition.
