Description:
"NSN, circa 1867, 50-70, 36 ¾" round barrel. Bore is bright and shiny with a light area of frosting noted, rifling remains strong. Barrel, barrel bands, trigger guard, butt plate and cleaning road are in the Armory bright finish. Breech block and lock plate show traces of original case coloring. Lock plate is dated 1864. Stock is very good with a handsome cartouche visible on the left side. An old repair is also noted below the cartouche along the edge. Action functions correctly. Gorgeous Early Springfield trapdoor!
