Description:
This Remington Model 1871 Single Shot Pistol is a rare Civilian Model. There were only about 6000 pistols of this model made and approximately 5000 were sold to the U. S. Army. This is one of the approximately 1000 civilian models that were sold. This gun is special in this way and also it is unusual in that it has an excellent bore in the 8 inch barrel. It shows little signs of ever being shot. As the pictures show it has very few sighs of abuse. These guns were made during the 1870s and 1880s. The serial number is on the tangs under the wooden grips. I think this would really be a fun gun to shoot. You would certainly be the only on at the range that had one.
