London: A Hand Detachable Ejector (Droplock) 12 Bore Completed about 1900 with Rib Extension Third Bite, New barrels were sleeved in 1969 and Proved in Birmingham to 3 1/4 tons and 2 3/4" chambers and stamped accordingly by the proof house, 30" ejector barrels, "C" Bolting Dolls Head Third Fastener Rib Extension, Bushed strikers, Non-Hinged cover plate, .729 .007 & .016" ( Imp. Leslie Bown Taylor first joined Westley Richards when he was 17 years old, by the time he was 31 he was promoted to Company Manager. In 1897 Taylor along with John Deeley patented the detachable lock version of the Anson & Deeley action known as the Droplock here in the U. S. This design is still being produced to this very day. Mr. William Westley Richards would be pleased to know the influence his capable people had on the trade with this unique but functional patent.
