Description:
This is an excellent example of a scarce WW1 German Ersatz Model 1916 bayonet with solid steel hilt, has an opened muzzle ring, rarer fullered blade. The unsharpened, just over 12" blade has no nicks and a perfect point. The handle and guard have no finish remaining. Steel scabbard is in good condition retaining none of its original paintwork with a few dents that do not scabbard for normal function. Strangely, these Ersatz bayonets are becoming harder to find.
