Czechoslovak VZ-58 Rifle Knife Bayonet & Sheath
- Resembles the AK47 in some respects, but is a unique design internally
- The vz. 58 was designed at Brno by engineer Ji?í ?ermák
- The press catch is in the crosspiece, eliminating the need for a pommel
- Composition wood grip scales
- The grip material is beech particleboard bonded with phenol formaldehyde resin. The grip was made in two halves, which were then bonded together with epoxy resin
- The grip scales are secured by two rivets
- Leather angled scabbard
- Lock and release mechanism works great
- Serial number 4479T on ricasso with 086 on reverse side
- The VZ–58 bayonet was produced for more than 20 years
- Based on the grip scales this should have been made in the 1960s
