Payment Types Accepted: Cash, Check, USPS Money Order Description: Browning A-5, Light 12, 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun with a 28-inch barrel with 2¾ chamber and a ventilated rib, the Invector choke system with one FULL-choke choke tube, and a gold-plated trigger. Though not stamped anywhere on the shotgun, I believe this is a Miroku shotgun, The length of pull is approximately 14½ inches. The drop at the comb is about 1¾ inches (measured from the line from the elevated rib). The drop at the heel is 2½ inches (also measured from the line from the elevated rib). Based on the date code (PT211) the year of manufacture is 1986; it was made in Japan. There are no box, owner’s manual, or other accessories with this shotgun. The left side of the barrel is stamped with “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. (first line) and “MADE IN JAPAN” (second line). The right side of the barrel is stamped with “BROWNING AUTO-5 (first line), INVECTOR SPECIAL STEEL 12 GA. SHELLS–2¾–28”” (second line), BROWNING PATENTS (third line). The left side of the receiver is stamped with “Light Twelve” (first line, in script print). Further down is stamped with “R” with a circle (first line), “BROWNING” (second line), and a portrait of John Browing (third line). These last three line are enclosed in a floral engraving. The right side and top of the receiver and the tang is stamped with a floral pattern. The overall condition of the gun is 98 percent, though several parts are 99 percent. The barrel and elevated rib are practically perfect, except for some very small, light, almost imperceptible, scratches, on the final four inches of the barrel out to the muzzle – 99 percent. The receiver is in very excellent condition, showing a little bluing wear on the bottom right side of the receiver – 99 percent. The tang also shows some bluing wear – 98 percent. The walnut stock and forend have beautiful high-luster finishes. However, there are some small dents, scratches, and an abrasion that make the overall condition of the gun at 98 percent. The forend has about a 1/3 abrasion on the left side, just behind the forend cap. I think this has penetrated the finish, but only a tiny bit. There are a few scratches on the left side of forend from the receiver out to about four inches. The right side of the forend is in excellent condition with a few very small dents, but none that has penetrated the finish. The checkering on the forend is deep and crisp, showing no wear. However, there are a couple of very small marks, but nothing major. The stock is in excellent condition, but does have several of what I call line dents – dents that are ¼ inch to an inch or so that do not penetrate the finish and were probably cause by bumping the gun along a hard surface. The right side of the stock, right in the middle, has one BB-size dent that has penetrated the finish. The checkering on the pistol grip is near 100 percent; it has a tiny mark on the left side of the gun, a little over two inches back from the receiver, otherwise, the checkering on the pistol grip is unmarred. The butt plate is embossed stamped with “BROWNING”, and there are a few small scuffs. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.
