Description:
This is a William Davis brass bullet mold in very good used original condition with a few pry marks in the mold cavities. The mold is marked WD on one arm and 48 on the other. This is a two piece mold but is missing the plug to form the conical shaped bullet desired. This mold would date from the fist half of the 1800's. The 48 caliber was very common in the American long rifles era, even more so with the round ball. Over-all length of the body is around 9 inches.
