Description:
This is a US WWI M1917 Bolo Knife/Scabbard. This example was manufactured by the Fayette R. Plumb in Philadelphia in 1918. The blade is in very good to excellent condition with most of the original finish intact, very nice edge and correct point. The blade is marked on the ricasso, "PLUMB PHILA. 1918" obverse "US MOD 1917". The guard has signs of wear on edges but nice finish elsewhere. The handle has a medium patina with light dings. The very good to excellent condition "A.K. Co. 1918 R.H.S. marked scabbard has nice stitching and no stains with fully functioning hardware.
