This helmet is a recycled Mk.I from the Great War. The chin-strap lugs have been removed and replaced bystraps riveted to the brim, Theand oil-cloth liner is a type made by a US Company, Cairns, and is often found in commercial US civil defense helmets, This helmet has been painted green, which in the original 1951 color scheme was used for Medical/Ambulance organizations. The helmet is in excellent condition with no markings with an excellent chinstrap, very good head band and suspension system with riveted skull cushion. According to the Canadian Civil Defense a limited number of these were distributed, around 34k total.
