This is a rarely seen WWI Luger - a "1914 commercial" model, made around 1914-1915 and frequently used as a private purchase sidearm by the German Imperial officers during the Great War. Only about 1500-2000 of these guns were made by DWM, chambered in 9 mm Para and clustering in 72xxx-73xxx serial range. These differed from the 1908 commercial models by having a stock lug, just like its military production counterparts.
This particular example is all original in examplary condition , retaining around 97% of its beautiful prewar blueing with just a hint of holster wear as per pictures. The gun is all matching and comes with an original wood bottom unmarked magazine. Excellent bore and excellent matching grips. The rig is completed by a beautiful unmarked medium brown private purchase holster in near mint condition.
A rare WWI variation Luger that would be almost impossible to upgrade.
