Description:
Here is a super high quality SxS Shotgun made by Paul Mossiers. It is a Merkel action and is equipt with ejectors, side clips, cocking indicators and hinged front trigger. The chisel work ont he frame is a work of art. It has a full horn trigger guard. The highly figured walnut stock is in sound condition. It was original part of a 2 gun set, this gun is number 2. The gun was fitted with sling swivels originally. The front mount has had its holes int he rib plugged with screws and the rear covered up with a compass. The stock has been fitted with a G&H Silvers style pad. The Splinter forend has an old repair along with front edge. The barrels have been cut back to 26" and little choke remains. This has been my personal gun for hunting grouse and woodcock for the last 5 years or so and it has shot great for me. The photos show the condition accurately. THere is a good amount of bluing loss on the barrels from use. The wood has a lot of surface marks and depressions. The lockup is tight and the bores are very good. Ship to FFL or C&R.
