Description:
Here we present a very nice sporterized Springfield Armory Model 1898 "Krag" chambered in .30-40 Krag (.30 U.S./.30 Army). The rifle is in overall Very Good Condition. The 22" barrel has a very nice, shiny bore with strong rifling and just a few spots of very light pitting. The metal is in good condition with some areas of light finish wear and a dark gray patina on the bolt handle. The Monte Carlo style stock is in good shape with a few very light dings/abrasions. This rifle is equipped with a brass tipped blade front sight and a vintage adjustable rear peep sight made by the Pacific Gun Sight Co. of San Francisco, CA. The rifle also comes with an original WWI era leather sling marked "Hoyt 1918 J.J.M." The action on this rifle is incredibly smooth, and everything functions as it should.
