"Serial No. 37943, made in 1902, .30 U.S., 28" round barrel. Barrel is marked “NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER", forward of receiver is stamped “30 U.S." 50% thinning blue remains on the rifle with some light scattered areas of surface pitting. Wood is also very fine with a few scattered nicks and dings visible. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
