This is a single live round of .25 Allen Lip Fire ammunition manufactured by Allen & Wheelock company. The very scarce round was a brief stop on the evolution of metallic cartridges patented on September 25, 1860 and produced for a very shot time eventually being made obsolete with rim fire. From an old ammunition collection this example is in very fine condition with the former collectors label still intact. A great round for display with your Allen revolver.
