"Josef Unger in Graz (Austria) 16 Gauge Side by Side Double with right barrel rifled and left barrel smooth bore. Under lever opener. Bores are excellent. Gun has Damascus pattern barrels and may be fluid steel but we are offering this gun as a black powder gun not for modern smokeless ammo. Gun has very good to excellent bright case colors. Barrels have 95-97% Damascus pattern finish. Stocks are excellent with sharp excellent checkering. Butt stock has a bullet trap and there is a folding flush tang rear sight and iron rear “V" notch sight. Barrel has a flat file cut rib with Ungers name in gold and rear barrel band in gold. Butt stock has a game counter on right side. Gun has an adjustable single set trigger for the rifled barrel. Smooth bore barrel measured .665 at muzzle. Rifled “slug" barrel is .575 at the muzzle. Rifled barrel fires a short approximately 2" long shell. Smooth bore barrel has a 2 ¾" chamber. Overall a very well made and tight fit gun. Josef Unger was thought to be a retail dealer in Graz and this quality of gun probably made in Ferlach.
