Description:
This fine hand-built gun by one of Ferlach's best makers has seen little or no use judging by perfect bores, metal finish (99%, french gray finish on receiver, remainder rust blued) and 99% wood as refinished by Nils Hultgren of Weatherby, who did the ebony/ivory rhino inlay. The entire action is fully covered with tight scrolls and highly detailed game scenes (rhino l, bison r, elephant under). Special features include a 4 round cartridge trap (possibly added when the stock was done), reinforced action w Greener crossbolt, single set right trigger, continental cheekpiece, and ebony/ivory inlays (crossed keys on cheekpiece, rhino in ivory relief on ebony on offside). 13 5/8" lop, 2.5" drop, 24 lpi checkering. 24.5" bbls w full-length engraved rib w. blank inscription panel, fixed blade (wide V with tight u notch) rear. Extractors, 9.5lb. Case not included.
