Offered is a Winchester Model 1892 in 44-40 caliber. The gun is serial number 7289 which giver a production year of 1892, the first year of production for this model Winchester. the gun is equipted with a 22" octagon barrel, Winchesster open sights and a contoured steel butt plate.
The metal surfacees of this gun retain aproximately 40% of the original blue finish including the magazine tube.
The Walnut stock and forend appear to retain the original finish and are free of any structural splits or cracks. They do have the expected dents and gouges that a gun of this age would have from normal handling.
The guns bore is dark, but very clean without corrosion.
This should make a great addition to any Winchester collection an well as great shooter
