Description:
Very rare chance to own the one and only 1936 first year Remington Model 81, serial number "24"! This rifle is in excellent condition inside and out! It has been thoroughly gone through and is like new inside. The bore is prfect as are all the mechanical functions! This rifle has been test fired and functions flawlessly, Stock finish and bluing are factory original and unmolested! Serials numbers are matching throughout, even the Beavertail forearm is serial numbered #24 to this rifle as the factory did very early on. The only flaw, if you will, are a few spots on the right side receiver and do not detract from this very rare #24 rifle. I have no idea what made them. I have more photos for the asking than can be supplied with the 15 photo limit here on G.I. Please review the photos and ask all questions prior to the sale/close of this .
It is highly suggested to have any vintage firearm checked by a qualified gun smith prior to your use as I assume "NO" responsibiolity for anyone fireing such.
