Description:
The Savage Model 28 was pattered after the Winchester Model 12.  It is a pump-action, 12-gauge shotgun with a full-choke, 30-inch barrel with a muzzle bead.  Its length of pull is 13½ inches.  Its drop at the comb is approximately 1¾.  Its drop at the heal is approximately 2½ inches.  Its overall length is approximately 49½ inches.  Its unloaded weight is 7 pounds, 9 ounces.  The gun accepts 2½-inch shells.  Bores are in excellent condition.  Year of manufacture is between 1927 and 1934 when the model 28 has being manulfacture.  There are no box, papers, or accessories.

The gun is fully operational.  It’ condition varies among the major parts.  Overall, it is about 70 percent.  The barrel is in excellent conditions with a bright shiny bore and well-defined lettering.  However, there is very little bluing remaining (about 30-40 percent) and there is some surface rust.  The receiver and magazine tube is in about the same condition, though the magazine tube has more bluing left.  The forend is in very good condition, with few minor nicks.  The stock is broken off at the wrist.  It has been repaired with some kind of adhesive (glue).  The broken joint is very strong and shows no sign of weakness.
