"Serial No.9633, circa 1862-1865, .54 caliber, 33"" round barrel. Barrel and rear sight are a light grey patina with pin-prick oxidation noted throughout. Stock shows scattered nicks, dings and scratches with some wood loss present right side between front barrel band and end cap , cartouche is present. Bore is good with some frosting noted in the grooves. Patch box and breech lever have ""16"" stamped on them. Total of 770 Merrill rifles were manufactured. (DALLAS LOCATION)
