Description:
A colorful Ole West .38 CTR fire reveolver, with a serial #22076, and a most likely shortened 3 5/8” shortened barrel with a fair bore showing some moderate oxidation and good rifling. This salty revolver has seen honest use showing remnants of original nickel finish in the protected areas and most of the surface now a pewter gunmetal patina showing old pitting in patches, that has been lightly cleaned and is partially smoothed-over. The barrel address is partially lost due to the barrel shortening and relocation of the front sight blade. The frame is equipped with a factory lanyard ring and the smooth mother-of-pearl grips remain in about very good condition left and good condition right, the right panel with some small chips and flaking along the top. The loading gate is missing, barrel-to-frame fit exhibits play and the action functions loosely with timing and lock-up okay , and the hammer holds only at full cock and is not crisp, due to a weaker mainspring.Overal an honest Ole Western gun.
