Description:
"NSN, circa 1800's, .75 caliber, 39"" round smooth bore barrel. This alteration uses the original cock which would have held a metal striker in the jams to strike the percussion cap. Barrel has a good bore. Metal is a smooth brown patina. The lock is marked “Tower" with crown/ “GR" in the center and crown/ broad arrow to the right. Below that, it is marked “R.&R.S." The barrel has the usual military proofs. The stock is good with “RC" on the left flat and a period repaired crack on the left from the trigger to the breech. This repair brass reinforcements at the top and bottom. The forend appears to have been slightly shortened. Action functions correctly. (DALLAS LOCATION)
