The scarlet serge is in very good shape, although there is a spot of discoloration near the left shoulder. The linen lining is intact, as is the white piping, and the dark blue stand collar and cuffs are in very good shape. User-added pockets have been cut into both of the hem flaps on the front, and a previous owner’s name is written in ink on the left: "L/Cpl. Knights." A full complement of correct brass buttons are attached, but no other regimental insignia are present. Second is a Kilt No. 1, Pattern of 1957 British issue kilt, Size 6 (suitable for a 32" waist) made by Thomas Gordon & Sons Ltd. Glasgow, with a 1963 surcharge date. The woolen kilt is in excellent condition and does not exhibit very much wear at all. This is a neat lot, and would make a nice ensemble for display. Price: $695.00 |
