A grade 12 Gauge shotgun with 28" barrels. The barrels are Krupp Fluid Steel that weigh 3 lbs 9 oz with no barrel weight numbers shown with 2-5/8" chambers. The barrels correspond to the Fox #3 weight barrels that weigh 3 lbs 8 oz. The chambers were made to shoot 2-3/4" shells. The barrels have matting on the top rib very similar to a Parker with the factory identification included. This company was formed by Ansley Fox and his associates and it is the predecessor to the A. H. Fox Gun Company. The gun certainly has the "Parker look" with the dished out hinge pin on either side. But the most interesting thing about this gun is the 15-3/4" length of pull and a capped pistol grip, obviously made for a BIG man. It has, what appears to be, an original Fox black butt plate on it and a small, tastefully done, beavertail forend. The checkering is fine, probably around 26 lines per inch, and very well done. The wood looks all factory. It has double triggers for instant choke selection of the full or modified barrels. The bores are bright and shiny and it does not appear to have been shot much at all. It weighs 7 lbs 13 oz and it has an auto resetting safety. The gun locks like a typical Fox with a decisive snap shut. Price: $1,295.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
