Ruger Changed Grip Frame Sizes Around This Time on Many Models. Simply Remove the Grips to Determine Your Grip Frame Model.
The Ruger Vaquero made from 1972-2004 is referred to as the XR3-RED Model. This is easily determined as XR3-RED is stamped in the grip frame under the grips. However, This Lettering Can Be Different But Still Use the XR3-RED Grips. They Can Read: XRN-3RED, NXR3-RED or NRM-3RED.
Simply remove the grips to determine if your Model applies.
