The bores are bright and shiny with 2-3/4" chambers and there are no dents on the outside and no pits on the inside with a nice Ivory end bead. The barrels are #1 weight, although they are not marked as such, it is determined by their weight of 4 lbs 4 oz which matches the Fox book chart for #1 barrels. #1 barrels are the heaviest barrels available on a Fox shotgun. There are a couple of small spots on the bottom of the barrel and the bottom of the rib, just forward of the forend, nothing deep. The LOP is 14-1/2" to a new Redhead recoil pad with a round knob pistol grip. The checkering is sharp & clean. The drop at the comb is 1-5/8" and the drop at the heel is 2-5/8"; which are fairly modern dimensions. The gun weighs 7 lbs-15 oz. It was made in 1910. This is certainly a great pheasant gun or a better waterfowl gun with non tox shot. Price: $1,495.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
