Description:
Available - this Colt model 1860 Army revolver. According to Colt's serial number lookup app, it was manufactured in 1863. This is a cap & ball .44-caliber single-action revolver used during the American Civil War made by Colt's Manufacturing Company. It was used as a side arm by cavalry, infantry, artillery troops, and naval forces. In good condition overall - definitely shootable should you wish to do so. The Army revolver was made with Naval engagement scenes on the cylinder - they are visible on this example. The finish is mostly gone - faded, not worn. There is no rust on the exterior - some marks around the takedown wedge and on the butt frame (from tacking up wanted posters)? The cylinder indexes properly with correct timing and the chambers are clean. The nipples are in good condition and you can see daylight through each of them. The bore is clean though there is some light pitting. The original front sight is missing - we might replace it iF a good one can be found. E-mail with any questions or for more pictures.
