Parker Bros. VHE 20 gauge with 28 inch Vulcan steel barrels is on a "O" frame and is in excellent original condition. It has a rare example of a Parker factory serial number stamping error of exactly 1,000 difference. The trigger guard waas engraved correctly as S/N 234197 and is listed in the Parker records as VH2 B 20 28. All the orther factory stamped numbers on the forend, receiver and barrels are shown as S/N 235197. Parker records list S/N 235197 as P2 H 2 C 20 28, which is a G grade with Parker steel barrels. All the factory misnumbered parts on this gun are definitly VH2 parts with correct VH2 Factory engraving pattern. The Factory stamped parts were just misstamped 1000 off as S/N 235197 instead of S/N 234197. This is a rare example of a Parker factory stamping error and is an excellent item to talk about with friends and Parker collectors. A very rare Parker factory error.
