Description:
This is a Swiss Schmidt-Rubin 1889/96/00/11, Sägebajonett Mod. 1906 Bayonet/Scabbard. The sharpened edge, 18 3/4" blade with a 13", 32 tooth, saw back spine, is in good condition, with a mottled finish and 5 nicks on edge, ricasso marked "Waffenfabrik Neuhausen " with the Swiss Cross. The guard and pommel are very good also with #735425 marked on the guard. The wood handle show light wear. The Leather and steel scabbard is marked with a Swiss cross, nice leather wrap and in very good condition, the chape and locket being plated with most of the original finish. This scabbard is the first version of two, this was later replaced by an all steel version. Please see photo's for fine details.
