Description:
For your consideration, the J.P. Sauer & Sohn Knock-About side-by-side shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge. These were imported by Von Lengerke & Detmold of New York, which operated from around the late 1800s until 1929 when they were bought by Ambercrombie & Fitch. This model is essentially a number 3 sidelock and branded the "Knock-About" gun. That brand stuck and was used on other makes as well. The importing from Sauer stopped around 1904, so this would be a Pre-WW1 shotgun. The barrels are made by Krupp, with the Crown over U, S, & W. Firing of both barrels, Shotgun barrel proof and Choke.
