WW1 IMPERIAL GERMAN FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT NO. 40 OFFICER’S SWORD AND SCABBARD. 38” o/a with 33” profusely etched blade with martial motifs and mounted artillery battle scenes. Blued panel etched “ALTMARK.FELDARTILL. REG. NO. 40”. Very good overall and all original. Excellent blade with all the nickel and blue. Hilt grip with the original shark skin wrap and wire. Scabbard nice with no dents. Some minor spots of surface storage rust that will clean up easily. Scarce sword priced reasonably. $650.
