Description:
1944 Springfield M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield. This M1 garand has a 24" barrel with a blade front sight with protective sides, an adjustable DRC aperture rear sight, SA bolt "6528828T ", SA trigger group housing "D28290-12-SA", Stamped late model trigger guard with no visible markings, "HRA" safety, IHC "55466008" hammer, and an SA op rod "35382 9". The gas cylinder is a wide base with a beveled non-hardened gas lock and a P/O gas cylinder lock screw. The butt stock is a hardwood pistol grip with no markings, and finish has been removed. The forearm is smooth two-piece hardwood with the finish removed. The barrel is stamped "SA 6535448 8 83 Y31 PM" with "stars and eagle - DoD acceptance stamp". The receiver is stamped "US RIFLE - CAL .30M1 - SPRINGFIELD ARMORY - 3387448. This M1 is in good used surplus condition with different stages of finish wear. .30-06 Springfield
