Description:
"NSN, circa early 19th century, .69 caliber, 40 ¼" round smoothbore barrel. Metal has turned to dark brown/grey patina with scattered surface oxidation noted. Lock plate has a faint stamp that is protect by the hammer when its not cocked. Stock remains in good condition with a crack visible on the right side forwarded of the lock plate, roughly 1 ½" long.  Butt plate is marked “1840/No.8" Action holds at half and full cock. The conversion is a St. Blaisen style alteration from the Black Forest/ Alsace-Lorraine area.
