Barrels 29" (from factory) bored Cylinder and Modified.
LOP 14 1/8" Skeleton butt plate, checkered wood. Straight grip.
Parker Gun Collector Association letter.
This fine shotgun has been professionally restored. The Color Case and Blueing is beautiful as is the wood finish.
This piece was manufactured and shipped during 1911. William Howard Taft was in the Whitehouse. WW-1 for the USA was still six years in the future. The buyer was J. D. Gay of Pine Grove, KY. I corresponded with one of his Great Grandsons who sent me photos and information about Jake. He was a well to do farmer and rancher. His hobbies were shooting, hunting and fishing. He owned several shotguns.
The barrels are "Titanic Steel" The famous ship by that name sunk the following April. The marketing people my have found a new name for the steel thereafter.
This firearm has been professionally restored. It is in awesome condition.
I purchased it in restored condition. It was produced without a safety and at the time of purchase it had a single trigger of unknown design installed. I sent it to Larry DelGreco for the installation of a safety and two triggers. He also checked the chamber length. The result is spectacular.
I have enjoyed shooting skeet with it.
