Description:
"Made circa 1815. 60 caliber with 8 ½" barrels. This is truly an exceptional pair. These guns are in excellent condition with silver plated barrels that have almost all of the original finish remaining. The locks are marked “DELAROA" The hammers have most of the original blue. The stop of the barrels are marked “DELAROA BORDEAUX" The barrels have cannon muzzles decorated with small silver beads showing the Spanish influence. The barrels transition from octagonal to round with a beautifully engraved integral barrel band. The stocks are in excellent condition with silver wire inlays decorating the rear portion of the pistol. The single screw side plate is silver and very finely engraved as is the trigger guard and butt cap. The trigger guard is hall marked. The pistol grip cap has a silver bead decoration, also something you see on Spanish guns. These are very high quality guns that are beautifully decorated!
