Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shadow Systems produces a series of pistols designed around the concept of a “Super-Glock” pistol. Their pistols possess features not normally found on a factory Glock pistol and which would require buying aftermarket parts to achieve the same result. The example shown here is the XR920 Combat Optics Ready model. The XR920 is considered a hybrid between a compact and a full size pistol, featuring a compact slide on a full size frame. Thus, it is similar to the Glock 19X and 45 models. The slide features the same front and rear directional serrations as the regular model, with the addition of Shadow System’s patented multi-footprint optic cut. This is designed to accommodate optics from different manufacturers without requiring any intervening plates or adapters. These include: the Holosun 407c, 507c, and 508-T, the Leupold Delta Point Pro, the Shield RMSc, the Romeo 1 Pro, Swampfox’s Liberty, Justice, and Kingslayer, the Trijicon RMR and SRO, the TruGlo Trutec, and the Vortex Viper. The frame features the impressive NPOA backstrap system, wherein the grip angle can be altered to fit the shooter’s preference simply by changing the backstrap. The aluminum trigger is set to an excellent 4.5 to 5.0 lbs. pull, a bit lighter than the standard Glock trigger. The 4.5-inch barrel is made from 416R stainless steel and finished in a black nitride finish. It has a neat spiral-fluted exterior and is threaded for attaching a suppressor or other muzzle device. The bore uses conventional rifling rather than polygonal rifling. For convenience, Shadow Systems pistols utilize the same magazines as Glock pistols do, and ships with the Magpul PMAG 17 GL9 magazine. The XR920 Combat O.R. is designed for a variety of roles such as competition use, home defense, and for use as a duty gun. It can also be used for conceal carry use though it is on the larger end of the scale as far as modern CC pistols go. Nonetheless, it can be very effective in this role. This example is used but is in excellent shape and comes with the original box and soft case. Also included are the spare backstraps, optic mounting accessories, a manual, and two spare magazines. The pistol is in superb shape and only the barest hint of wear on the top of the barrel, where two miniscule spots of wear in the finish exist. The rest of the pistol’s finish is in like-new condition with little indication of prior use. The bore is in superb shape if a little dirty. The pistol is fitted with a Shadow Systems Thread-On Compensator (SKU: SG9C-00-57T). This helps dampen the recoil movement, aiding the accuracy of the shooter and improving shot-to-shot times.
