Synopsis: Beautiful, all correct, late war Remington Rand 1911A1. Description: Standard configuration, and all correct, Remington Rand M1911A1 with ramp front sight and drift adjustable rear sight having square notch. Left side of frame with usual two line Remington Rand address. Unusual in having double “P” in front of rear sight. Left frame with “FJA” inspector initials. Right side of frame marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY”, “M1911A1 U.S.ARMY”, “NO 2063358”. "FJA" Frank J Atwood proof on left side & crossed cannons proofs on right side that break the parkerized finish. All components parkerized except for salt blue trigger, slide release, thumb safety and a few pins. “G” inspector proof hidden by firing pin plate. Barrel lug marked “HS” on right side by High Standard. Keyes Fibre grips with escutcheon rings around screws. Late seven round magazine with "L" on inner toe. Mfg. Jan. 1945 within S# batch 2,031556-2,075,103. Condition: Excellent original condition with just the most minimal wear as one might expect from a minimally carried/virtually unissued pistol, although the barrel link and link pin are in the white. Usual wear over barrel hood from cycling. Comparable condition grips and near excellent magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
