Model 1886 Portuguese short rifle. I have read this is a rare short rifle. It is sometimes referred to as the artillery or NCO or Officers rifle. These rifles were built with the high standards of the Steyer company of Austria. They are essentially a Mauser 71/84 chambered in 8mm (8x60). This short rifle is complete and functions well with a clean bore in very good overal condition. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
