Description:
About: Custom made bolt action rifle featuring a Interarms Mark X (Commercial Mauser 98) action, Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.
Barrel: Shilen, Match Grade, #3 contour, 9 twist chrome moly, finished to 25.5" OAL with a 11 degree target crown and SAAMI standard chamber.
Action: Interarms Mark X (commerical Mauser) with controlled round feeding, adjustable trigger, and 2 position safety Drilled and tapped for scope mounts. Magazine will accommodate 2.9" long cartridges. Chamber accommodates all factory loaded ammunition.
Stock: Fancy Claro Walnut, with hand-cut 20 line per inch checkering done in a point style pattern. Checkering on the forend is wrap around. Rosewood grip cap and forend tip. Comes with a Pachmayr D752 Decelerator recoil pad. The stock is carved into the typical Monte Carlo style with a a shadow line cheek piece. Drop at nose of the comb is 3/4". Drop at heal is 1.75". Neutral cast and no toe out. Length of pull is 14.25 inches. Barreled action is fully bedded. Dakota style sling swivels are installed.
Finishes: All of the metal work has been glass beaded with fine glass and was black oxided. The finish will match most matte finished rifle scopes. The stock sports multiple hand rubbed coats of TruOil and has a semi-gloss appearance. The checkering was treated with TruOil as well (sealing coats only to retain grip texture)
