Description:
This is a Marlin Model 1894 made in 2016 and chambered for .44 Special and .44 Magnum. It has a 20" barrel and is blued with a black matte finish on the top and underside of the receiver and its tangs. The stocks are checkered walnut with a straight grip and solid rubber recoil pad. Left side barrel markings; "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. ILION, NEW YORK. U.S.A. / MODEL 1894 – CAL. 44 REM. MAG. OR 44SPL" and at the rear an "AK" date stamp. Marlin's two-line warning is marked on the right shoulder of the barrel. The lower left side of the receiver is marked "MR68397F". A semi-buckhorn "U" notched rear elevator sight is dovetailed into the barrel. The front sight is a blade bead dovetailed into the top of a serrated hooded ramped base screwed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled for a scope mount and has a matte finish. The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a satin finish. There is a smooth diamond pattern in the bottom center of the forend checkering and on each side of the wrist. The buttstock has a straight grip. A "Marlin Bullseye" is on the belly of the buttstock and the forend has a blued steel nose cap. There is a sling swivel stud mounted in the belly and another on the bottom of the forend nose cap. Overall in excellent condition with a couple light surface marks throughout. .44 Magnum
