Description:
Merkel Model 47E Scalloped Boxlock Double Ejector gun chambered 12 gauge. This Merkel has 28" Special Gewehr Laufstahl barrels with a concave wavy serrated rib and fixed chokes, FULL & EXTRA FULL". This gun also has a Greener cross-bolt with double under barrel locking lugs, scroll engraved scalloped Anson and Deely boxlock action, side clips and receiver ledge with firing pin indicators, automatic tang safety, double triggers, hard buttplate. The stocks are a two piece hand checkered walnut with a shadow line cheek piece and a capped pistol grip. The splinter forearm has light scroll engraving on the metal. Length of pull is 14.5" with DC 1 5/8" and DH 2 3/4" and about 1/4" cast for a right-handed person. Imported by Simpson LTD. 12 Gauge

Metal Condition: "Only a trace amount of the receiver finish left, what remain is mostly patina. The barrels show most of its original aged finish with some blotchy spots on the barrel rib finish.
Wood Condition: 95%. Expected light dings and nicks. Front forend checkering is a little worn.
