Description:
Pre-WWI Model 1903 Colt Police Positive revolver in .32 Police caliber, with its original factory box.Maufactured in 1913. No, this gun has Not been refinished; this is an all-original Colt you're very likely to never encounter on web-based gun sales sites ever again. There are very likely one or maybe two like this one avaliable in the US. As younger Collectors have become older collectors and then inevitably die (off) these kinds of guns have become virtually impossible to find on the open market. This may be your last chance to get a pre-WWI Colt Double-Action like this, especiallyin this condition. Action works perfectly. Bore and original grips are perfect. Gun is in new condition. Finish is 100% original high-luster blue, (seen only on the earlist Colts), with original-condition fire-blued small parts, (Colt discontinued this amazing small parts feature after 1913/1914). Image 6 is misleading; the area of "wear" or "scuff" behind the cylinder, is an illusion related to the photography and lighting/glare. Compare images 6 to 4 and you'll see what I mean. And even image 4 has an area directly above the Colt's head which is a glare/photographic issue. Almost all 6 images have something in them which could be perceived as wear/loss of bluing, but that simply is not the case. I'll be replacing/adding mages in order to dispel confusion about the amazing condition of this gun, but I wanted to post this gun today. As described above, the gun's original finish is absolutely devoid of any wear/scuffing. It's absolutely amazing, the fact this Colt is 111 years old and is in this condition; this is like a once in a lifetime kind of discovery for me. But I want to sell this gem in order to use proceeds to acquire a Colt 1905, which is almost as old as this Model 1903, and is just as stunningly perfect. Moving on from the original finish, this gun shows no signs of ever even being fired, (no wear on face of the breech). Original box is numbered to the gun. Box is "tatty", but gun, as discussed above, is perfect. Buyer pays for insured shipping. Please let me know if you'd like to see additional images and/or have questions.
