Description:
Remington 1917 Cadet Trainer. This is a non-firing rifle. Following World War I, Remington modified surplus Mosin Nagant 91's into non-firing training rifles. They shortened the barrel from the original 31.6 inches to 24 inches. The forend of the stock was also shortened. These training rifles also had no front sights and they did not have serial numbers. These rifles were sold to private military institutions. The Cadet rifle had the same dimension as the 1903 Springfield. None
