Description:
Winchester Model 62A .22 S,L,LR #283xxx. This 1952 62A retains fully 97% of the original factory blue showing slight slide operational wear, mild edge wear at the bottom carry point, and a very few scattered handling marks. The wood is exceptional retaining almost all the original finish. The pump handle has dulled a bit and there is one mark on the left side of the butt (see picture). It looks like it might be a factory grain fill. Bore and mechanics are excellent.
Hey, Old Guys. Is there a rifle in America that is more reminiscent of boyhood? In the fifties I rigged up a carrier for my bike that would accommodate my ball glove and bat, or my beloved Winchester 62A. Pedaled all over town to go shooting or woodchuck hunting with my friends. What a different time. This is not that rifle, which I still have and has about 50% of the finish remaining. It still shoots like a dream.
